Gen AI Policy

INFORIX (Informatics Research & Innovation) encourages the ethical and responsible application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted tools in academic writing. To uphold research integrity, transparency, and publication ethics, all authors submitting to this journal must strictly adhere to the following guidelines regarding AI usage.

Important Notice Global indexing databases (such as Scopus or Web of Science) function as abstracting services and do not dictate independent AI policies. Consequently, authors are required to comply exclusively with the AI regulatory frameworks established by this journal and its primary publisher.
Guidelines & Regulations
1. Acceptable Use of AI Generative AI may only be utilized as a supplementary tool to refine language, correct grammar, and improve overall manuscript readability. It must never substitute an author's intellectual contribution, data interpretation, or scientific judgment. 2. AI Authorship Prohibition AI systems (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) cannot be credited as an author, co-author, or corresponding author. Accountability for a manuscript's integrity rests solely with human authors.
3. Mandatory Disclosure If AI tools were employed during the drafting process (beyond basic spell-checking), authors must explicitly declare this in a section titled "Declaration of Generative AI" prior to the References section. 4. Ultimate Author Accountability Human authors retain full responsibility for verifying all AI-generated text. Content must be thoroughly reviewed to prevent hallucinations, fabrications, or scientific inaccuracies prior to submission.
5. AI-Generated Citations Authors are obligated to cross-check every reference suggested by AI. Submitting fabricated citations, fake DOIs, or non-existent bibliography constitutes severe academic misconduct. 6. AI as a Research Method Using AI as the actual subject or methodology of the study (e.g., Machine Learning, NLP) is fully permitted, provided that the model name, parameters, and experimental setup are comprehensively documented in the Methods section.
7. Image Generation & Confidentiality AI must not be used to create or manipulate empirical data, charts, or scientific photographs in ways that misrepresent findings. Furthermore, authors, editors, and reviewers are strictly prohibited from uploading unpublished or sensitive manuscript materials into public AI platforms to protect intellectual property and confidentiality.
Example of AI Disclosure Statement: "During the preparation of this manuscript, the authors utilized [Name of AI Tool] to refine sentence structures and enhance readability. Following the use of this tool, the authors meticulously reviewed and validated all generated content, assuming full responsibility for the final version of the manuscript."
